Our preservation process begins after your gown has been thoroughly cleaned and finished. We layer it with acid-free tissue and muslin, and carefully place it into a museum quality, acid-free wedding dress box. This packaging protects the fabric color, and helps avoid damage from light and dust. It also allows some air movement to help prevent damage from moisture. Once home, store your wedding dress box flat, and in an area that is clean, dry, cool, dark, and free from big changes in temperature and humidity. These guidelines probably rule out your basement or attic.
